About Vlad Cazino
Vlad Cazino launched in February 2018 as the first major online casino built specifically for the Romanian market, leaning playfully on the country's most famous export — a vampire-themed brand fronted by 'Vlad' himself. It was created by Kindred Group, the Swedish-founded operator behind Unibet, as a localized sister to its international brands.
The ONJN-licensed site offers more than 1,800 slots from dozens of providers including Pragmatic Play, Play'n GO and Amusnet, a live casino powered by Evolution and Pragmatic Play Live, and online bingo rooms. When FDJ, the operator of France's national lottery, completed its takeover of Kindred in 2024 and rebranded the enlarged group FDJ United, Vlad Cazino came with it — and the brand continues to run in Romania alongside Unibet under the new parent.
The stock behind Vlad Cazino is FDJ United (Euronext Paris: FDJU), majority-owned by the French state — an unusual pedigree for a Dracula-themed casino. Vlad Cazino is the group's only brand built from scratch for a single Central and Eastern European market, and Romania remains one of FDJ United's most distinctive regulated territories.
