About Goldbet
Goldbet began life in 2000 as Goldbet Sportwetten GmbH, a bookmaker with its legal seat in Innsbruck, Austria, before building its real business across the border in Italy. It grew into Italy's biggest retail-point betting operator, and its goldbet.it site became a fully ADM-licensed online destination combining a sportsbook with casino games.
Today Goldbet offers online slots, live casino and table games alongside sports betting, and holds G4 responsible-gambling certification. Gamenet Group agreed to buy 100% of GoldBet for €265 million in July 2018, completing that October and creating Italy's largest retail betting network of around 1,700 points of sale; the brand has been kept as a standalone pillar of the portfolio ever since, remaining live under Italy's post-2025 single-domain licence regime.
Goldbet's listed parent is Lottomatica Group S.p.A., trading on Euronext Milan as LTMC — meaning Goldbet joined the group three years before it even took the Lottomatica name. The group floated in May 2023, joined the FTSE MIB after Apollo's 2025 exit, and Goldbet contributes to an online business that led the Italian market with roughly 32% share in early 2026.
