Lottomatica Group is Italy's largest gaming and betting operator, handling roughly €45 billion in annual wagers across online gaming, retail sports betting and gaming machines. The current group was formed in 2016 as Gamenet Group, was taken private by Apollo in 2020, and took its present name after acquiring IGT's Italian consumer business — including the historic Lottomatica brand — for €950 million in May 2021; later deals added Betflag (2022) and SKS365 with its Planetwin365 brand (completed April 2024).

The company listed on Euronext Milan on 3 May 2023 under the ticker LTMC, and became fully public in 2025 when Apollo sold its remaining stake, joining the FTSE MIB index. Its online brands — led by Lottomatica, Goldbet, Betflag and Planetwin365 — made it Italy's clear online leader entering the country's new single-domain licence regime, with about 32% of the iGaming market in early 2026.
