About Allwyn AG

Allwyn grew out of KKCG's SAZKA Group, founded in 2012 by Czech entrepreneur Karel Komarek and rebranded Allwyn in 2021, building lottery and gaming positions across Austria, Czechia, Greece and Cyprus, Italy, the UK โ€” where it operates the National Lottery โ€” and North America. In October 2025 it agreed an all-share business combination with Greece's OPAP, in which it already held 51.8%, valuing the combined group at around โ‚ฌ16 billion in equity.

The combination completed on 24 March 2026, creating the world's second-largest listed lottery and gaming operator with pro-forma EBITDA of about โ‚ฌ1.9 billion; Allwyn AG shares began trading on the Athens Stock Exchange as ALWN on 25 March 2026, replacing the OPAP ticker, with KKCG holding roughly 78.5% of the economics and a free float of about 22%. The company redomiciled from Luxembourg to Lucerne, Switzerland on 1 June 2026 and is weighing a secondary listing on an exchange such as London or New York.
