About Sisal Casino
Sisal is the oldest name in Italian gaming. Founded in Milan in 1945 by sports journalist Massimo Della Pergola with Fabio Jegher and Geo Molo, it invented Italy's football pools — the original 'schedina Sisal' coupon that became Totocalcio in 1948 — and has held state gaming concessions ever since. From 1997 it has run Enalotto and its successor SuperEnalotto, the lottery game famous for producing some of Europe's largest jackpots.
Sisal moved into online gaming in 2009, and sisal.it today pairs an ADM-licensed online casino — several hundred slots and a large Evolution-powered live casino — with lottery, bingo and betting products on a single account. After decades as a concessionaire under various owners, Sisal was bought by private equity firm CVC Capital Partners in 2016, which sold it to Flutter Entertainment in a deal completed on 4 August 2022 for approximately €1.9bn.
The stock behind Sisal is Flutter Entertainment (NYSE: FLUT), which moved its primary listing from London to New York in 2024. Sisal anchors Flutter's market-leading Italian business alongside Snai, PokerStars and Betfair, making Italy one of the group's most important regulated markets outside the United States.
