About LeoVegas Casino
LeoVegas built its reputation as the 'King of Casino' on mobile: founded in Stockholm in 2011, it designed its casino for smartphones before most rivals took mobile seriously, and rode that head start to become one of Europe's largest online casino brands across the Nordics, DACH, the UK, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.
LeoVegas AB listed on Nasdaq Stockholm in 2016, but its time as a Swedish public company ended in 2022 when MGM Resorts International — the Las Vegas casino giant — acquired it for about $600 million to serve as its international online gambling platform. MGM has since folded other digital assets, including its BetMGM international ambitions, around the LeoVegas organization.
The listed parent today is MGM Resorts International on the New York Stock Exchange (ticker MGM). LeoVegas is a small slice of MGM's overall casino-resort economics, so the stock tracks Las Vegas and Macau at least as much as European igaming — worth knowing before treating MGM as a LeoVegas proxy.
